A Detailed Description of the Smokin Tex 1100 Pro Series Electric Barbecue Smoker
Design and Durability (5.0/5.0)
The Smokin Tex 1100 Pro Series smoker appears to be well-designed, while its body, which is made of steel, seems to be built to last long. Its door seals tightly and it efficiently maintains temperature steadily. One notable feature is the well-insulated smoke chamber which prevents unnecessary loss of heat due to radiation. This is a good design, because it reduces airflow that often makes the food dry. Overall, the design allows the smoker to add more flavor and moisture to your food. Meanwhile, the relatively small size of the smoker shall be good enough for quick preparation of food for an entire household. However, this may not be sufficient for a very large crowd.
Ease of Use (4.5/5.0)
The smoker is fairly easy and straightforward to use. You can start by putting the food and wood in the smoker and by setting the thermostat and that’s it. You can literally leave it as it is as it tries to reach your desired time or temperature. To make things more convenient, you can use a remote thermometer in monitoring the temperature of the food. That way, you save yourself from frequently opening the box during its operation which can sometimes last all day. Moreover, it’s very easy to cleanup. You just have to simply remove the grills, rails, and wood box from the smoker, and then wash it down with warm, soapy water. While I’m saying that this smoker is easy to use, this still requires a lot of familiarity. It may require beginners to do a few trial-and-errors, before they can make things perfect. So far, it does well in this department.
I find this smoker very efficient in terms of turning very simple food like vegetables and a cut of meat into elegant dishes. This might just be a small smoker, but it does make tasty barbecue.
- Well-built and designed
- Temperature is easy to manage
- Easy to use and cleanup
- Efficient in terms of producing tasty, moist food
- Very portable
- Relatively small in size, may not be enough for large food preparations
- Quite expensive than other smokers
I highly recommend the Smokin Tex 1100 Pro Series Electric Barbecue Smoker to all who love smoking in the luxury of their own houses. It’s quite pricy, but its results are definitely worth it. It’s easy to clean the materials in and out, thus it can be expected to really last longer.
